Police is an institution where most of its employees, if not everyone have direct interaction with the general public. It is unfortunate that the public hesitates to approach the police, due to the common view of their treatment of citizens. Whenever one approaches a police officer or staff for even asking simple directions, they seem annoyed or respond in a manner which seems rude. It has mostly been observed that these officers lack the proper interactive techniques, to respond in certain situations. This results in resentment among the public. There are numerous complaints of the public, regarding the behavior of the police. It is suggested that these officers, especially who are at duty on various check posts and public places, should be given proper instructions and training on how to interact with public.
