NAYS to arrange free medical camps in rural areas






ISLAMABAD  – National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) is initiating free medical camp service in rural areas to provide health service in such areas, which are lacking even the basic health facilities.
The main objective is to promote awareness among inhabitants about all aspects of basic health and to educate them about preventive methods and how they can improve their hygiene.
Talking to APP, President NAYS, Aftab Ahmad said “ NAYS is a distinctive scientific organization with a pure academic motive aiming to promote science and the application of scientific knowledge for the welfare of human being.
Several efforts have been launched to promote health and well being of common man, he said.
The main objective of the camp service is to bring awareness among students of schools and colleges and among people residing in local areas regarding basic health problems, infectious diseases, hygiene and preventive measure.
During the camping campaign, dietary charts and guidelines regarding basic management of BMI, HTN, DM will be provided to people. Special medical camp under senior consultants like neurologist, endocrinologist and rheumatologist will be arranged so that people in rural area might get maximum benefit.
Aftab Ahmad said the basic pupose of arranging this medical camp is to apprehend people about hazardous impacts of home deliveries, improper vaccination and used syringes etc.
He said Pakistan is underdeveloped country. Literacy rate is also very low, and people don’t know much about health care and hygiene especially, because of this mortality rate is comparatively high here.
 “That’s why we are starting this project to spread awareness among the people, and train them to enable themselves to overcome etiological factors of diseases without specifically presence of medical professionals, leading towards a healthy environment, dwelled by healthy people”.
