Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has warned that his party will not let the rulers of Punjab rig local government elections and the government will be responsible for the situation if it tried to delay the results.

He hurled the warning while talking to the journalists here at the residence of slain Allama Nasir Abbas. “If the local government elections are not held in a transparent manner, it will not be a good omen for the nation and country,” he added. He questioned that if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government could give election results in one hour, why did the Punjab government delay results for three days. He said that the PTI would not let the rulers rig local government elections like recent national polls and the rulers of Punjab would have to face the consequences if they made any attempt.

He said that 40 clerics had so far been killed in recent wave of terrorism which was highly condemnable as well as a big question mark on the performance of rulers. He urged upon the Ulama to exhibit sectarian harmony on eve of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and thwart the vicious designs of anti-Pakistan elements.
