LAHORE - Punjab University Department of History and Sir Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation organised a seminar on Pakistan-India relations at PU Al Raazi Hall on Monday.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the seminar while Dr Mujahid Ali Mansoori, leader of Hindu Yatrees delegation Shev Pertab Bajaj, Shri Sat Pal Muhajan, ex-MLA Haryana Veena Chibar, ex-president Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Sham Singh, Dean Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Iqbal Chawla and a large number of Indian delegates were present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr Mujahid Kamran stressed the need for writing unbiased history of Pakistan and India to improve relations between the two countries. He said that there was a huge diversity of culture and religion in the region but people of both the countries were facing hunger and poverty and people have to sleep on footpaths. He said that the region was richer in resources than America and we must utilize them for betterment of our people.
Dr Mujahid Mansoori said that it was the right time to get benefit from the feelings of love of the people of the both side for each other. He said that we could improve our relations keeping in view the model of European nations.
