Punjab Government is currently in the process of finalization of a comprehensive higher education policy in order to implement and ensure that Pakistani universities can also be developed at par with international standard institutions of research and innovation where quality education can help the students to excel.
This is a very positive thinking in the right direction forward of Provincial Higher Education Minister Syed Raza Ali Gilani while addressing prize distribution ceremony of a number of private educational institutions at Alhamra Art Centre in Lahore the other day.
According to the reports in the newspapers, elaborating further the minister said it in the first phase it is his mission to bring five top public sector university of the province in the QS Ranking and the government is committed to provide equal opportunities to the youth of getting high quality education, research and higher education are the basic components of development as the developed world has achieved pinnacles of glory in the comity of nations.
The minister has also quite rightly stressed on provision of quality education, training and character building of the youth who are the future leaders of the country.
In a developing world like ours, no words are enough to signify importance of seeking knowledge and education to face the challenges of real world squarely, boldly and squarely in the right direction, please. As a matter iof bitter fact we talk a lot and do practically nothing and this is the main reason for our lagging miles behind the developed world.
