Karachi - Minister for Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Saturday inaugurated the exhibition of around 5,000 photos of Bhutto’s family photographer Agha Feroz which depicted not only the 50-year struggle of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), but also the lives of the members of the Bhutto family.

The exhibition was held at the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Park Clifton.

On the occasion, Feroz informed the minister about the history of these  photos and said that in order to preserve them he was ready to gift it to the party or the provincial government so that this precious history could be managed properly.

The provincial minister acknowledged the efforts of the photographer and said that neither the party nor the provincial government would let his efforts go in vain and would take concrete steps to preserve these valuable memories.

“Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also be happy to safeguard this historical treasure of Bhutto family’s photos,” he said, and added that efforts would also be taken to preserve these photos on CDs and websites.

Moreover, talking regarding PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi activities in Sindh to gather political support against PPP, the minister said that he was the successor of Sufis and the type of politics he was doing did not suit him.  On the other hand, he said that Grand Democratic Alliance had no future in Sindh politics as people had tested them in the past and were unable to make any dent on PPP’s politics in Sindh.

“Before staging protest for the sugarcane growers, the GDA owners should first ask the mill owners in their ranks to start the crushing of sugarcane and give due price to the growers,” he counselled.

“Sindh government is playing its role to resolve the issue properly rather than raising hue and cry over it,” he said.

He said that the provincial government was committed to serving the masses and the chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was monitoring the situation day and night. “The development projects in Sindh were carried out at a fast pace but after special directives from Bilawal Bhutto Zarari, the pace on these projects has further been sped up,” he said.  He said that they had no issue to transfer control of Benazir Bhutto Park to the municipal authorities, but how could the mayor Karachi who always raise hue and cry over funds would be able to manage the affairs of the park with shortage of funds.

“We do not want to create any problems for anyone and if some affluent people want to come and support the government in managing the affairs of the parks, we are ready to support such initiatives,” he said.

He said that their government is carrying out all efforts to ensure provision of facilities to the masses in the province.
