SIALKOT - After their deportation from Turkey and Iran, a court sent a woman and her four daughters to judicial remand for two weeks on the charge of going abroad illegally.
According to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials, the FIA had arrested village Kotli Ramdas-Sialkot based Shehnaz Bibi and her four daughters Zoha, Khansa, Asma and Hafsa upon their reaching at Sialkot international Airport two days ago. They had been deported by the Turkish immigration authorities for illegally entering Turkish.
The FIA officials added that these women had denied their links with any banned militant organization including Daish, during the interrogation by the different intelligence agencies.
The FIA had produced them before the local court and sought their two-week long judicial remand.
Inspector Waqar Awan said the FIA had arrested these women on charge of travelling to Iran and Turkey illegally. He said that further investigations were underway.
On the other side, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested accused Tariq Mehmood, the manager (operation) of Habib Bank Limited’s Daska branch, in Rs2.3 million fraud cases.
FIA Divisional Deputy Director Mufakhar Adeel said that the HBL Daska Branch's manager operation accused Tariq Mehmood had embezzled Rs2.3 million from the account of a customer. He said that an FIA team raided Daska and arrested the accused. He said that the FIA has sent the accused behind bars after registering a case.
SITE, JAIL VISITED
An administration team visited the site of the under-construction project of Shehbaz Sharif Flyover at Sialkot city's congested China Chowk locality.
The flyover would be helpful in lessening the growing flow of traffic of main inter-city roads in Sialkot. It would be the second overfly in Sialkot city here. The Punjab government had released a special grant of Rs1 billion for starting the project of establishing a flyover in Sialkot city's congested China Chowk, the admin said.
The project would be completed in a stipulated period of one year after its commencing. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif would soon inaugurate the project.
