Peshawar - Peshawar Police have arrested 4,794 proclaimed offenders (POs) and 537 accused in murders during the year 2021 so far, an official said on Thursday.
Talking to journalists at the Police Lines, Capital City Police Officer Abbas Ahsan said that the cops had also arrested 94 kidnappers and recovered 45 persons during the period.
He said that 159 gangs in involved in robberies and other crimes had been busted in the shape of the arrest of 894 gangsters while 365 car and motorbike lifters were also arrested.
The CCPO said that Rs61 million cash and 230 mobile phones, 92 tolas gold ornaments, 116 snatched cars and 133 motorcycles were also recovered during the year.
