LAHORE - Chairman Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandak Committee (PSGPC) Sardar Sham Sing, along with chairman World Muslim Sikh Federation Sardar Manmohan Singh and former Chairman PSGPC Sardar Bishan Singh have condemned Indian propaganda against the killing of a young Sikh at Tirah valley of Khyber Agency and warned India to stop propaganda against the incident. They expressed these views while addressing a Press conference here at the Lahore Press Club on Tuesday. They said the incident was not related to any religious violence rather it was a crime that fell under the category of kidnapping and ransom. The news of killing of three Sikhs was baseless as only one Sikh was murdered whose name was Jaspal Singh, they said. India and some other elements wanted to destroy Muslim-Sikh harmony as they were trying to exploit the incident of young Sikhs murder for their vested interests, they further added. The president and the prime minister of Pakistan had ordered an investigation and instructed the security forces to bring the culprits to the book immediately, they said. The prime minister had also ensured his full support for the slain Jaspal Sings family, they maintained. The leaders called the incident Pakistans internal affair and warned India to stop interfering in it, they added. The Sikh leaders pledged their support for Pakistan. They said this country was not less than a paradise for them and they felt comfortable living here. The Sikhs from across the globe love Pakistan which India did not like and never missed any opportunity in carrying out propaganda against the country, they added. The Sikh leaders further reiterated that all Sikh community was grateful to the government of Pakistan, especially Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board Pakistan Syed Asif Hashmi for the announcement of establishing Baba Guru Nanak International University which would be a historical step.
