RAWALPINDI Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Tuesday directed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Legal branch to submit the inquiry report in a fake murder case of a woman who was later discovered to be alive. LHC Justice Hassan Raza Pasha directed the DSP to submit the report with in fortnight in this regard. The DSP appeared before the court and assured the court that the report would be submitted as the court had directed the police about the report four months ago. According to the details of the case, Rawalpindi police registered a murder case of Malkani Bibi in 1996 on the complaint of her husband Ahmed Khan against Malik Ameer and two of his accomplice as the dead body of Malkani was found from Chakwal after she allegedly kidnapped. Later Ahmed Khan and his daughter recognized the dead body and the accused were arrested and remained in the jail for three years before they were acquitted. Later Malik Ameer came to know that Malkani was not dead but was confined in jail in Gujrat in a theft case and on their application, the Supreme Court took notice and directed police to register criminal case against Ahmed khan and the responsible policemen. Police however registered the case against Ahmed but skipped policemen forcing Ameer to move the LHC for registration of case against the policemen.
