PESHAWAR (INP) Police killed a man, whom it called a terror commander, in an encounter here Wednesday. According to SSP Peshawar Muhammad Ijaz Khan, police, on a tip-off, raided the hideout of Qari Haq Nawaz in the Khushal Bagh area of Mithra. He said the commander refused to surrender, which led to an encounter. The cross fire continued for more than two hours till Qari Haq Nawaz was killed. According to the SSP, the slain was wanted in various incidents of terrorism, including firing on police mobiles and school vans and targeting government installations and public places with bombs in different areas of the provincial capital.
