Rawalpindi - Chinese Food Festival has been inaugurated here at local hotel, offering the food lovers a feast of culinary delights from all over China.

The festival was inaugurated by Cap (Retd) Zahid Saeed, Commissioner Rawalpindi, Abdul Hayee, Deputy General Manager of the hotel, friends from the Chinese community, diplomats, government officials, celebrities and other dignitaries of the twin cities.

The festival will run up to March 01 and will offer diners an opportunity to sample and savour over 60 authentic Chinese dishes. The ceremony was hosted by the PC Rawalpindi.

In his remarks on the occasion, the commissioner Rawalpindi appreciated the festival and explained that there are strong cultural bindings between Pakistan and China and these activities would further promote it. “Pakistan has a strong Chinese food culture and we thought it was time to launch the Chinese food festival in line with the Chinese New Year so our guests will have the chance to learn more about the history, regional significance and methods of preparation of authentic Chinese food while enjoying the sumptuous festival,” said Abdul Hayee.
