Turkish Premier’ visit

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Devutoglu, arrived in Pakistan on a two day visit, to strengthen economic and strategic ties with Pakistan. Turkey has long been a partner in progress for Pakistan and the constant interaction of the two leaders will lead to greater cooperation. Mr. Devutoglu will be chairing the fourth edition of Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council besides holding meetings with President and the Prime Minister. A number of agreements are expected to be signed. The business community of Turkey is also sending some representatives for trade talks.
Turkey is a progressive nation that is working to better the lives of its people through social, economic uplift, education, culture and by inculcating strong ties with friendly nations, including Pakistan. We can learn a lot from our Turkish brethren and their assistance in these troubled times. As a Muslim country Turkey can better understand our predicament and it stands fast with us in our fight against terror. This visit by the Turkish premier shows the importance given to Pakistan by Turkey. For the constant engagement of the two countries will not only bring them closer but will also be mutually beneficial.
