Pak-Korea cultural festival held at UoP

PESHAWAR: Citizen diplomacy was at its peak in the one day KOPAK cultural festival arranged by the students of the visiting South Korean and the host University of Peshawar at the Pashto Cultural Museum, University of Peshawar.
Cultural dresses, songs and similarities among the two country`s norms especially respect for elders and sense of patriotism was evident from the performances on the occasion. Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan was the chief guest on the day. Dean Hannam University South Korea IL Gyu Jeong, thirty students of South Korea and  other delegates were also present.
Prize distribution ceremony for winners of the cooperation Badminton tournament arranged by Hannam University at UoP was also held on the sidelines of the festival in which students of University of Peshawar Sara got first while Laiba and Kiran Jamal took second and third position respectively. Besides, certificates were distributed among students on completion of the Korean language course arranged by the KOPAK Centre at the institute of management studies, University of Peshawar.–Staff Reporter
