Affected teachers assured compensation

LAHORE - A delegation of The Punjab University Academic Staff Association met Punjab government representative Khawaja Ahmad Hassan and raised their concerns at the metro track.
The PU delegation, led by ASA President Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam, told Hassan about problems being faced by teachers as their houses were affected by the metro train project. They demanded compensation to 35 honours of plots and 2 houses in the PU Housing Society. Khawaja Hassan Ahmad gave assurance that total payments against the houses and land would be paid to all PU teachers during the next week. He also made is clear that the government would not acquire PU land until complete payment to the affectees.
