MARDAN - Pakistan People’s Party leader, Senator Farhatullah Babar Saturday said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is coordinator of war against terrorism and his silence on Bacha Khan University attack is beyond comprehension.

“Judicial inquiry should be conducted on Bacha Khan University and Army Public School incidents and the report should be published,” he added.

He expressed these views while talking to The Nation at the residence of Haji Khanzada Khan Provincial President of Pakistan People Party (PPP) after offering Fateha on the death of his brother.

Farhatullah Babar who is also spokesman of former president and co-chairman of PPP added that interior minister has totally failed.

Farhatullah Babar added that National Action Plan (NAP) wasn’t implemented yet. He added that banned organizations have changed their name and continued their works which is against law.

He added that it was compulsory that the meeting of board of governors of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) should be held after every three months but the government did not arranged any meeting after the passage of one year.

He added that interior minister also failed to strengthen NACTA.

Farhatullah Babar added that interior minister on national assembly floor claimed that no first information report (FIR) was registered against Maulana Abdul Aziz but later on it came in notice that on 19 December 2012 FIR was registered against Maulana Abdul Aziz while in October 2014 station house officer (SHO) Abpara police station (Islamabad) registered case against Maulana Abdul Aziz.

He added that it showed that interior minister is frightened from the banned organizations. Babar added that the main issue of the country is terrorism. “Government should take action against those people who are claiming the responsibility of terror attacks”, he added.

He added that Azamat Maghaviya of Punjab announced that he will fight in Afghanistan. Babar added that government is utilizing national resources on Orange train and metro bus projects but the national requirements are others. He added that with TAPI gas pipeline government should also give attention towards Iran Pakistan gas pipeline.

“In the current time sanctions have been lifted from Iran and it will be favourite time for the completion of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project”, he added.

Farhatullah Babar added that planning commission disputed the Pakistan China Economic Corridor (PCEC). He added that this project would be handed over to Council of Common Interest. He added that 20 billion rupees for western and 80 billion rupees were placed for eastern route in PSDP due to which doubt were created about this huge project.

He added that government should also bring the relief of decreasing the prices of oil on international level.

“To make Afghanistan peaceful it is need of time that the foreign policy about Afghanistan should be reviewed”, he added.

He also said that more than 100 journalists were martyred in the country but government had failed to arrest their killers accept Denial Pearl.

He added that only hanging cannot control militancy it is need of time that National Action Plan (NAP) should be totally implemented.
