Rawalpindi - A suspected swine flu patient died at Benazir Bhutto Hospital yesterday, bringing the death toll in the district to 12. However, Medical Superintendent BBH Dr Asif Qadir Mir said that though the female patient had symptoms of swine flu , yet National Institute of Health (NIH) has not confirmed it so far.

According to the MS, Razia Bibi had been suffering from flu and fever for the last one week and she remained admitted in the hospital for two days. He said that it was the second death in the swine flu ward as one Muhammad Nazir died two days ago but he was confirmed patient of swine flu . It is to mention here that for the last two weeks as many as 12 people have died of swine flu in Rawalpindi district.

Four people died at Holy Family Hospital, two at BBH and one at District Headquarters Hospital while remaining died at private hospitals including two in Wah Cantonment.
