Training seminar on infectious diseases held

Rawalpindi - The City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) organised one day training seminar at Pir Mehar Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS-AAUR) yesterday.
Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Dengue Control Programme, Dr Waseem Akram was the chief guest. The seminar was attended by Head of Dengue Monitoring Committee and PML-N stalwart Dr Jamal Nasir, officers of administration and government departments and representatives of various organisations engaged in viral disease control programme being implemented in Rawalpindi.
Dr Waseem Akram asked all concerned authorities to participate actively in capacity building programmes and update themselves with latest knowledge and techniques being utilised to control infectious diseases.
He also appreciated the role of government departments during previous anti-dengue campaign when it was declared as an epidemic in Rawalpindi in 2015 and said similar spirit is required to tackle any untoward situation if it occurs during forthcoming dengue season.
