Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has apologized for his 'skirt' remark today during Tax case hearing in Karachi, reported Waqt News.
On January 13, Justice Nisar remarked about length of a good speech while giving example of woman's skirt.
"I apologize for my remark if it hurt anyone's sentiments as I was merely quoting Winston Churchill," said CJP during the hearing of case.
Justice Nisar asserted that women are consist of 50 percent of Pakistan's population and he respected them immensely.
"Some people tried to make an issue out of this statement," he said.
Earlier, Women's Action Forum demanded an apology from the chief justice over his remark and called it 'sexist'.
