Man kills infant son during quarrel with wife

MANDI BAHUDDIN: A man allegedly killed his infant son during a quarrel with wife here on Tuesday. According to police, Afzaal and his wife, resident of Dera Shah Alam, ran into argument which infuriated the man. In a fit of rage, he snatched his infant son Abdullah from his wife and threw him against wall. Resultantly, the baby sustained critical head injuries and died before he could be evacuated to some medical facility. Muhammad Ashraf, maternal grandfather of the baby reported the incident to Kuthiala Sheikhan Police. The police have registered a case against the man for killing his minor son. According to neighbours, the couple often quarrelled over domestic issues before this gruesome incident.

Three crushed in trailer-bike collision

RAJANPUR: Three youngsters died when a speeding trailer hit a motorcycle here on Tuesday. Police said that a speeding trailer knocked down a bike carrying three youth on Indus Highway here in Rajanpur, killing them on the spot. Bodies of the deceased were shifted to hospital for post-mortem. The police impounded the trailer and after registration of a case against runaway driver.–INP

3 illegal currency exchanges busted

GUJRANWALA: An FIA team on Tuesday unearthed three illegal currency exchanges and arrested its owners. FIA Deputy Director Mufakhir Adeel informed the media that a team of the agency carried out a in Nowshera Virkan and earthed three illegal currency exchanges. The FIA officials arrested three accused namely Muhammad Shahbaz, Sohail Yousaf and Abdul Sattar for running illegally business.
The team also seized Pakistani and international currency from the accused persons.
