PAKISTAN will take action against the Lashkar-e-Taiba if proof was found of its involvement in the Mumbai attacks, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in Thai island Phuket on Thursday, reported Indian news agency IANS. We will take action against LeT if any proof is found, Qureshi told reporters when asked what action Pakistan planned to take against the perpetrators of Mumbai attacks. We are waiting for the confessional statement of Kasab through appropriate channels, Qureshi said. He was referring to the confession Ajmal Kasab, the lone Mumbai attacker. PPI adds: Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Thai island resort for Asias security forum meeting, just exchanged greetings and left bilateral talks for their interaction on sidelines of UN General Assembly in September. We exchanged greetings when we met at the dinner hosted by Thailand (for foreign ministers of ASEAN & East Asia Summit countries) last night, Krishna told reporters here Thursday. Perhaps we will be meeting in New York in September. Modalities are being discussed, Krishna said. Its unlikely we are going to be in same room before the UNGA. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani met on sidelines of Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Egypt July 16 and decided the foreign ministers of the two countries will meet on sidelines of UNGA in September to review further developments. Without naming Pakistan, I spoke about Mumbai terror attacks. We talked about our terror-infested neighbourhood, Krishna said when asked whether he spoke of incidents of terrorism in India at 16th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
