ISLAMABAD - Police have recovered a 21-year-old boy who was kidnapped for ransom on July 15 and arrested four accused involved in the crime. According to details, Muhammad Iqbal, father of kidnapped boy Adeel Iqbal reported to Shahzad Town police on July 15 that his son went to Khanna Bridge on his car (HW-565) and did not return back. He also told the police that some unknown persons contacted him by cell phone telling him that his son has been kidnapped. Police spokesman said that the abductors demanded Rs 10 million ransom money for the release of his son. On the report of complainant, a case was registered against the unknown accused and police started tracking down the culprits. Meanwhile, keeping in view the gravity of case, SSP Islamabad constituted a team headed by SP (Rural) Tahir Ayub Khan, DSP Ishaq Warraich, SHO Inspector Tanveer Abbasi and SI Mubarak Ali. Spokesman further told that after hectic efforts, police were succeeded to trak down the accused and raided a house located at Khanna and arrested four men Asim Khan son of Gulfraz, Sahib Yousuf, son of Habib Ullah and Ahmed Shah, son of Karim Shah and recovered three pistols, ransom money amounting to Rs 500,000 from their possession. The accused were produced before the court which gave them in police custody for five days remand. The DIG-Operations and SSP have announced commendation certificates and cash prizes for them.
