Seven people including two police officials were injured in a firing incident in District Court Rawalpindi on Saturday. According to a private TV channel, the incident happened when Khan Nawaz, an accused involved in attempted murder was produced in the court of Additional and Session Judge, Muhammad Iqbal. An armed man belonged to opposition group of Khan Nawaz opened fired and as a result, 7 persons including Khan Nawaz and two police officials were injured. The attacker, later, identified as Bahadur Khan was arrested. The condition of Khan Nawaz is said to be critical as he received bullet injuries on his face and chest. The injured were shifted to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital. Panic gripped the court after the firing incident and people saved their lives by running to safer places.
