CHINIOT (APP) - An amount of Rs 50 million will be spent on the first furniture training institute which is being set up here and it would be completed by December this year. This was stated by chairman Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) Gul Muhammad Nazar while addressing a ceremony held here on Friday. He said the federal government had established a department Pakistan Furniture for the promotion of furniture business and to upgrade it as industry like other industries of the country. He further said the government had also earmarked Rs 800m for the promotion of Pakistani furniture. He said a Wood Bank had also been set up at Rs 300 million out of the total amount of Rs 800m and its third branch would be set up in the city after Lahore and Karachi.
