ISLAMABAD (Online) - JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the government has not taken JUI-F into confidence over extension of job-tenure of Chief of Army Staff (COAS). Talking to a private TV channel on Friday, he pointed out that extension of COAS has been an administrative issue and for this purpose, the PM had no need to address the nation. He also pointed that no doubt JUI-F acknowledged capabilities of General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, but military operation in northern areas of Pakistan was negation of parliamentary resolution and the issue should be settled with negotiations not through military means. The JUI-F Chief further emphasised that the PPPs led coalition did not bother to take its coalition partners into confidence on any decision making, adding that these policies of the government could be harmful for democracy. Responding to a query, he said that holding a fake degree is a crime and government should take due action against politicians holding fake degrees.
