LAHORE - Ch Moonis Elahi, central leader of PML-Q has directed the leaders and workers of the party to undertake all-out efforts for providing relief to the victims of recent floods and torrential rains in Punjab. He gave these directions on Friday to party workers and leaders and relief activities coordinator, Nasir Mehmood Gill from US on telephone. PML-Q leader urged the party members to participate in the flood relief activities irrespective of political affiliations. Ch Moonis criticising the Punjab Governments preparations to handle the situation of flood alleged that provincial government despite the prior information of the MET Office has failed to evolve a strategy to counter this natural calamity. He further alleged that whether it was acts of terrorism or natural calamities the incumbent provincial rulers have failed to counter them. He, while expressing his grief and sorrow at the unfortunate loss of precious human lives and property due to floods in Rajanpur, DG Khan, Layyah, Rojhan and other affected districts reiterated his partys commitment with the flood victims in time of need.
