Pakistan on Saturday requested the International Monetary Fund to defer the next round of talks for two weeks. The next round of talks between Pakistan and the IMF was due to take place in the first week of August in Washington. However, Pakistan sent a formal request to the Fund, asking for delaying the meeting for two weeks, reported a private TV channel. The officials of Pakistan's foreign ministry were also scheduled to reach Washington on Aug 5. The IMF will decide on the next tranche of aid for Pakistan in the meeting.
