ISLAMABAD: Islamabad is the cheapest while Quetta is the costliest city among five larger cities of Pakistan, says a report issued by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

As per report CPI in Quetta by the end of June 2017 was recorded 2.7 per cent which rose to 9.3 per cent by the end of June 2018. The overall ratio of CPI by the end of June 2018 has risen to 5.2 per cent while it stood at 3.9 per cent at the end of June 2017.

According to SBP food inflation remained at 3.1 per cent while at the end of June it was recorded at 5.5 per cent. However in Quetta, it was registered at 8.5 per cent and 9.8 per cent respectively
