A senior Pakistani politician and former member of Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs has said that US President Donald Trump is embarrassing himself by making threats to Iran through his tweets.

In an interview with IRNA, Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi said the US bullying approach will take them nowhere.

In reaction to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s warnings, US President Donald Trump has written on tweeter account that “never, ever threaten the US again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history ever suffered before.”

Rouhani had said that the Americans should realize well that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace and war with it is mother of all wars.

Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi added that actually the problem with the United States is that it is so aggressive and bully in its every day dealing with international community that it has become unpredictable and un-understandable.

“They (US) tried to vanish Korea out of existence; they lost the war. They did the same in Afghanistan; they lost the war. They did the same in Iraq; they lost the war. They did the same in Syria; they are losing the war. I don’t know in what fool’s paradise they live,” he said.

The politician expressing his views said Iran is a peace-loving country but one thing that has been proven by its courage and resilience of its people, that Iran can never be pressurized or countered by any forces.

“The US and Saudi Arabia and the Arab world with all their money and all their might could not dent Iran and the country was victorious in the long struggle, all alone they were able to take on the whole world at that time, so I don’t know why Trump threatens a country like that,” said the former lawmaker.

He said that the US had made wrong decision by quitting an internationally reached agreement. “The US must have honored it,” he said.

The politician added that the US has not only withdrawn from Iran nuclear deal rather they are leaving other fundamental rights organizations and they are also withdrawing from everything wherever there is a vote against murder, mass slaughter and genocide of the Palestinian nation.

Former Senator went on to say that the US votes against all those resolutions which are moved to protect the rights of Palestinian nation and yet it threatens the world. “This will take you nowhere,” he said.

Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi said that European Union has behaved extremely well as far as the nuclear deal is concerned and they have stood by Iran and the agreement; they have said no to the United States. “They should assert themselves more,” he said.

He added that the US can’t be a monster without assistance; it has to have assistance of the European, Asian continents.

“World should show that we stand for the justice, fairness, peaceful world, mutual cooperation and respect of each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and we do not go towards war,” said the political leader.

He viewed that Trump cannot even last one day because the peace loving countries will never tolerate it.
