KARACHI- Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ibad played a key mediator role today convincing Dr Tahir ul Qadri to adopt a ‘middle ground’ and disembark from the flight stationed at Lahore airport.

Talking to a private TV channel, Dr Ibad said that he had established contact with the prime minister office, federal interior minister, Punjab chief minister and Governor Punjab to find a middle way acceptable to Dr Qadri as well. He said Dr Qadri has some serious security concerns, adding government officials showed their willingness to address these concerns.
Dr Ibad said agreed to leave the plane and travel to his Lahore residence along with Punjab Governor Choudhry Sarwar. He said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain was also very concerned about the developments since morning, adding he has also talked to Dr Qadri himself.
