• Left-arm all-rounder, Haris Sohail, suffered a shoulder injury while training ahead of the 2nd test-match to be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • The team management has received Haris’ reports and the doctors have suggested that the all-rounder must rest for two weeks in order to gain full recovery.
  • Commenting on the situation, Chief selector Haroon Rashid said, "He has suffered a nasty fall on his shoulder during practice but the management is currently having him examined by the best doctors and will decide soon whether he will remain with the team or return home.
  • Team management is expected to decide whether to call him back once he has recovered from his injury or to retain him for one-day series against Sri Lanka.
  • Haris has been among the few consistent performers for Pakistan cricket, this year, and the selectors have a tough decision to make. If Haris is unable to recover before the start of the one-day series, the selectors will turn their attention towards Fawad Alam, Umar Amin or Sohaib Maqsood who has recovered from the injury he picked up during the World Cup.
