ISLAMABAD - In a major breakthrough, Pakistan yesterday signed an agreement to sell Super Mushshak training aircraft to Qatar.

According to PAF spokesperson, the agreement was signed between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Karma, and Qatar Air Academy.

“This is a major breakthrough in Pakistan’s indigenous defence production”, the spokesperson said, adding Pakistan will supply sufficient number of aircraft to Qatar. The spokesperson also maintained that few other countries have also expressed interest to buy Pakistani aircraft.

The deal comes after three months when Pakistan Air Force participated in Qatar air show. Super Mushshak also took part in the show. The Qatari leadership evinced interest in the aircraft and started negotiations with Pakistan which materialised on Thursday.
