Commissioner Rawalpindi visits HFH, enquires after health of injured land revenue officer

RAWALPINDI - Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah on Wednesday paid a visit to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) and enquired about the health of a land revenue officer who sustained injuries in an armed attack launched by an alleged land grabber in Dullah Village of Chakwal. 
The Commissioner asked the doctors to provide the land revenue officer Malik Feroz Khan adequate health facilities. He also prayed to Allah for earlier recovery of the injured land revenue officer. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner said those who do not care for their lives in the line of duty are actually our real heroes.
Earlier, the elected representatives of Anjuman Patwarian Rawalpindi led by Taveer Patwari also visited the Holy Family Hospital and enquired about the health of injured land revenue officer. 
On the other hand, another land revenue officer was tortured by some six men in Jhanda Cheechi, informed sources.  
The Tehsildar Khurshid Abbasi was also beaten up, however, he managed to save his life by fleeing from the scene.  
The land revenue officer (Patwari) was identified Qazi Tariq, who lodged a complaint against the six persons including Ghulam Abbas accusing them of torturing him badly.   
Police have accepted the application of land revenue officer and started the investigation, they said. 
According to sources, Qazi Tariq Mehmood, who is posted as Patwari Tench Circle, lodged complaint with Police Station Airport officials stating that he reached near Rahimabad Bridge along with officials of Chaklala Cantonment Board and staff of Civil Defence to remove encroachments. He alleged Ghulam Abbas along with five unknown men attacked them and beat them with kicks, punches and with clubs. The land revenue officer added the attackers also hurled life threats towards him. He added the attackers were impersonating NAB officials.
Qazi Tariq Mehmood Patwari appealed to police to register a case against the accused and to arrest them.
A spokesman of Rawalpindi police, when contacted, said CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas had taken the notice of the incident and ordered SDPO Syed Ijaz Shah and SHO PS Airport Jawad Shah to investigate the matter on merit and to punish the accused.
