The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the international community has realized that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute is vital to the peace and stability in the South Asia. According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was addressing the participants of a function held in New Delhi in connection with the Pakistan Day and hosted by the Pakistan High Commission. He apprised the participants about his meeting with Chinese Foreign Affairs Director, Ying Gang in Geneva on the sidelines of the 13th session of the UN Human Rights Council. "China also understands the importance of Pak-India dialogue," Mirwaiz said. The Pakistani High Commissioner in India, Shahid Malik, speaking on the occasion, reiterated that Kashmir was the core dispute between Pakistan and India, which would be on the top of the agenda during talks between the two countries. He said that India should stop gross human rights violations in the occupied territory to make the dialogue process meaningful. Among others, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani was also present on the occasion.
