ISLAMABAD - As many as 984 pollen allergy patients have been treated during the last three days at the free pollen allergy relief camp set up by the ICT Administration at Aabpara Community Centre of the Capital. A spokesman of the administration while giving the gender wise break up of the patients said that 520 male patients, 364 female and children 100 had been treated at the camp. He further said that three kinds of treatment facilities had been provided at the camp and among those, 510 patients opted for allopathic treatment, 363 patients homeopathic and 111 patients opted for Tib-e-Unani method of treatment. The ICT Administration is providing all the medicines free of cost to the patients at the camp and renowned allergy specialists Dr Athar Niaz Rana, Dr Muhammad Zaman, Dr Osman Yousaf , Hakeem Rizwan Hafeez are devoting their services and treating the patients there. The specialists are also imparting health education to the allergy patients at the camp. The spokesman said that the leading pharmaceutical companies had donated sufficient quantity of medicines on Tuesday for the allergy patients, which included Davis Pharma, Danas, Wilson, Werrick, Paramount, D. Watson, Shaheen, Al-Latif, Valor and Medera Pharma. Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada has highly appreciated the donors for the donation of medicines and thanked for their co-operation for this noble cause.
