ISLAMABAD Several rallies carried out by the religious outfits Wednesday in connection with the Pakistan Day turned into anti-US gatherings over the reported abhorrent and despicable act of burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in a church of America. The clerics belonging to Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamat, Aalmi Tabzeem-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat and Islamic Students Federation who were leading the gatherings openly decreed that all those responsible of the inciident are liable for murder A cleric of Aalmi Tabzeem-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat on behalf of his outfit announced promising reward in shape of money to hunter who would kill Terry Jones and other responsible. A US national Wayne Sapp, under the supervision of American pastor Terry Jones, Monday last threatened the global inter-faith harmony when he burnt a copy of Holy Quran in a small church situated in Gainesville, Florida. Ulema while addressing the gatherings condemned the incident in harsh words besides demanding of the Pakistan government to deal with the issue in a serious manner instead of performing mere lip service in condemnation. They said desecration of the Holy Book is a global act of terrorism that hurt the deep feelings of the Muslims across the world. They called upon the incumbent government to react in a stormy manner against the eye-opening blasphemous act of US pastor. They said Muslim world in whole should convene meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference and make sure the banishment of US envoys from their respective countries to record protest against the unholy act.
