Malik gives cheques to martyrs heirs

ISLAMABAD - On the occasion of Pakistan Day, Federal Interior Minister Rehman A Malik on Wednesday distributed cheques of Rs5000 each among the ten families of police martyrs here in Islamabad police headquarters. While speaking on the occasion, the interior minister said that Islamabad police have performed tremendously against the terrorism in the federal capital. History cannot be changed that 42 officers and constables of Islamabad have sacrifices their lives to combat the terrorist activities, he added. He further added that 20 relatives of martyrs including sons and daughters have been provided the jobs in Islamabad police. Who have not yet accommodated will be considered soon. He appreciated the performance of constables and officers and urged to keep their moral high, he maintained It would be relevant to mention here that few months back the interior minister announced one-month salary as reward for the Islamabad Police for their best performance against terrorist, however, it has not been yet materialised.
