LAHORE The Punjab government has asked the Muttahida Qaumi Movement to propose another site for its public meeting of April 10. A spokesman of the provincial government has said the MQM has been asked to propose an alternate site for holding public meeting on April 10 in the city. The spokesman also said the government had security reservations regarding public meeting of the MQM at Minar-e-Pakistan. Hence, MQM leaders have been asked to propose an alternate site. No effort will be spared for making complete and comprehensive security arrangements for the public meeting of MQM, vowed the spokesperson. Meanwhile, a delegation of MQM, led by Farooq Sattar, met Special Assistant to Chief Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid with regard to holding of public meeting. The delegation informed him about necessary details. Senator Pervaiz Rashid said the application of MQM was being sent to Home Secretary Punjab so that he could submit his report in this regard.
