KARACHI (Online) - Two rockets hit a mosque in Malir, creating fear in the area early Wednesday morning. Talking to private TV channel here on Wednesday, SSP Malir City Saqib Sultan stated that some unknown militants fired two rockets from Goth Muhammad. One rocket fell in Ghazi Town while other hit Jamia mosque Mustafa in Malir city, partially damaging the mosque. The enraged locals of the area staged a protest against the rocket attack at the mosque by torching tyres outside the mosque. The enraged protesters alleged that the police is responsible for the negligence. The SSP has sent a team for arrest of the extremists. Meanwhile, death toll due to target killings in Karachi has reached 14 during last 24 hours. Some unknown people opened indiscriminate firing at a youth (26) killing him on the spot in Hussainabad. In another incident, bike-riders gunned down a person in Saudabad while two men as Gul Rehman and Jamal were gunned down in Orangi town, after that firing continued for several hours. A person was killed outside Metro cinema while 10 personnel of Rangers sustained injuries while one was killed and 10 injured in North Nazimabad. Two persons were gunned down in Jamia cloth market and Landhi. Two persons were killed when unidentified men opened indiscriminate firing at tractor near Ayesha Manzil.
