HYDERABAD - HAFEEZ SHAIKH -  Awami Ittehad Party Chairman Liaquat Ali Jatoi has lashed out at the rulers for confronting with the Supreme Court and said that the so-called democratic government is not intentionally implementing the court orders.

He stated this while addressing a public meeting in Tando Allahyar on the other day. He reiterated his allegations that during the last four years, the rulers had stashed away a huge amount of 30 billion dollars in foreign banks and said that they had also earned commission amounting to Rs300 billion on fertilizers import. He demanded an impartial inquiry into the foreign accounts of the rulers in UK, France and UAE.

Jatoi said that the flood and rain-affected people are still living without any shelter and in abject poverty. Ministers, MNAs and MPAs are looting and plundering the relief goods and their godowns are filled to capacity with the relief items meant for rain-hit people. He said, it was high time to hold local bodies elections to provide relief to the poor people at the local level. He claimed that when he was the chief minister, he had not given a single inch of land to anyone but the present rulers had distributed all state land to their relatives and jiyalas. If he ever came to power, all this land would be retrieved and distributed among the poor people, Jatoi said.
