MARDAN - Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Sunday said that timeframe was necessary for negotiations with Taliban.
"In democratic history dialogue is initiated through politicians but Nawaz government is doing it through bureaucracy that makes the impression that politicians are incapable of handling the issue," emphasised Khursheed while talking to media persons here at the residence of Shazia Aurangzeb, leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP). PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Haji Khanzada Khan and other party leaders were also present on this occasion.
Khursheed said that PPP for the sake of the country and nation would fully support dialogue process. "The terror incidents occurred in Islamabad, Khyber Agency, different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Quetta during negotiations and these things worry us a lot," he said. Answering a question, he said "After Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan's false statements on the issue of militancy, I have no trust in him in this regard."
Talking about the resolution passed in the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in connection with creation of Hazara province, he said the PPP would take decision on the issue once the resolution was presented in the National Assembly.
Talking about electricity loadshedding, he said that Mian Shahbaz Sharif had told the nation that if he did not finish the loadshedding problem within six months then he would change his name, adding it was Shahbaz's moral responsibility to change his name.
Answering a question about PPP and MQM alliance in Sindh, he said that in his personal capacity he was against this alliance because PPP was a democratic party while MQM chief Altaf Hussain issued undemocratic statements, which were not in the interests of the country and democracy. He added this alliance would create problems for PPP and MQM.
