British relief mission visits Thar

LAHORE (PR): A British relief mission, led by Chairman Al Mustafa Welfare Trust (UK) Abdul Razzaq Sajid, reached Thar to provide the food and medical aid. Ten members relief mission will stay three days in different areas of Thar and distribute food, review the water supply projects and set up medical and eye camps. Chairman AMWT Abdul Razzaq Sajid said that a free medical and eye camp was set up in Chachro where foreign qualified doctors performed more than 100 cataract surgeries and screening 500 patients suffering from blindness. He said all kinds of facilities including lenses, surgeries, food, accommodation and lab tests were provided free of cost. Relief mission also visited different areas of Nangar Parker. It was decided that Al Mustafa would repair and restore the water wells to ensure the clean drinking water to the local population.

Wakgroup hosts event in honour of Rodolfo

ISLAMABAD (PR): A farewell reception ceremony was held in Islamabad the other evening in honour of H E & Madam Rodolfo J Martin HP, Dean of Diplomatic Corp and Ambassador of Argentina. Dignitaries from different disciplines of life attended the ceremony hosted by Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan, Chairman WAKGROUP of Companies at his residence.

Rodolfo J Martin, in his speech, recalled some of his memorable moments spent in Pakistan during his eleven-year tenure. “Time spent in Pakistan is a treasure for me,” he said.

Earlier, Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan welcomed the honourable guest on behalf of his family members and colleagues.

In his welcome speech, he wished H E & Madam Rodolfo J.Martin all the best. A special memento was presented to honourable guests by Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan and Ammar Ahmed Khan.
