LAHORE - The Nation staffer Samiuddin was looted in the limits of Lytton Road police station on late night Tuesday. Samiuddin was on his way to home after performing his duty at Nawa-i-Waqt office. When he reached Sham Nagar, two dacoits intercepted him and snatched one mobile phone, Rs1,000 in cash, office card, ATM card and other important documents at gunpoint.
After the incident, The Nation staffer reached the Lytton Road police station and submitted an application to lodge FIR against the criminals, but a sub-inspector namely Asghar refused to register FIR and insisted the victim to file another application for recovery of valuables. No case has been registered till filing of the report.
