MULTAN - The owners of private schools staged a protest against the Punjab Education Foundations FAS Programme and demanded its immediate suspension here at Chowk Shah Abbas on Monday. The demo was organised by Non-FAS Schools Association and a large number of protesters including students and teachers participated in it. Holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands, the protesters carried out non-stop sloganeering against the PEF. Addressing the protesters, president of the Association Abdul Majeed Khattak said that the ill-advised policy of PEF president Raja Anwar badly damaged private schools. He feared that the FAS programme would eventually ruin entire private education sector. He said that pursuing FAS programme was tantamount to committing financial murder of private schools. He alleged that only blue-eyed persons were taken onboard by the PEF for the FAS programme.
