HAFIZABAD DCO Muhammad Asif has urged the doctors to improved functioning of their hospitals in the district and warned that absent doctors will be taken to task. While reviewing the performance of DHQ, THQ, RHCs and BHU in the district, the DCO said that there should not be personal liking or disliking in hospitals. He said that necessary funds were being provided to hospitals and it was better to improve performance in the government hospitals. He said that medical is a sacred profession and doctors should become role model for others. He advised them to treat their patients politely to serve the ailing humanity. The meeting was attended among others by EDO Health Dr Asif Qadir Meer, DDOs Health Dr Khalid Farooq, MS Dr Muhammad Aslam, MS THQ Dr Shoukat. RS15.8M FOR SCHOOLS UP-GRADATION: The DCO has said that Rs15.8 million will be spent on the up-gradation of different schools and provision of missing facilities such as potable water, toilets etc during the current financial year in the district. The contracts for the execution of the uplift schemes have been awarded under the supervision of EDO Finance Khawar Kemal and DO-Buildings Riaz Basit Ghani and others here on Monday. Strike against killings: The Bar Association Arifwala observed a full day strike and boycott of the courts against the murder of two lawyers in Karachi on the call of Pakistan Bar council. No Advocate appeared in any court of law to plead his case.
