PESHAWAR - Unidentified militants blew up another government-run primary school in Darwazgai area within the jurisdictions of Mattni Police Station here on Monday. Sources said that unknown miscreants had planted powerful explosive devices in various compartments of the school, which exploded with a big bang in the early hours of Monday. The blast caused fear and panic among the masses as the locals already witnessed several suicide blasts and rocket attacks in this militancy-plagued locality. The blast badly damaged boundary wall and three rooms of the school. Police and bomb disposal squad rushed the blast venue and collected evidence from the site. According Mattni police, around 2-kg explosive material was used in the attack, due to which the school premises was badly damaged. It may be mentioned here that earlier to this, militants had destroyed two primary school including girl school in Darwazgai area. The area is adjacent to lawless Khyber Agency and semi-tribal region of Darra Adam Khail.
