LAHORE Red-alert has been declared across the country especially in federal capital and provincial capitals and the foolproof security arrangements have been made at the airports and government buildings in the wake of terrorists attack at PNS Mehran in Karachi. The security forces in the City have been put on high alert shortly after the gun-shots at PNS in which a severe setback has been observed with the Naval Defence, leaving a big question mark on the armed forces. As part of the heightened security, extra police personnel were deployed around the government buildings and new police check points were set up at the entry and exit points of the provincial capital. A senior security official said, Yes, high alert has been declared in the City after the terrorist attack in Karachi and strict surveillance has been put in place in the light of any other untoward incident. Meanwhile, CCPO Ahmed Raza Tahir has said he will not tolerate wolfs in police uniform. In perspective of Karachi incident, Lahore Police have made foolproof arrangements to maintain security in the City. He said that it was also being ensured that not only the number of police personnel should be increased but their alert condition should be maintained at the highest level. Raza was talking to citizens from various walks of life who called on him in his office here on Monday.
