PCB flayed for Pakistan A team selection

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Former first class cricketer Tahir Shah has flayed the decision of Pakistan Cricket Board of giving chance to Pakistan A team while the chance must be given to Under-19 team. Tahir Shah said that Afghanistan team will play against Pakistan A team and if they beat them, then they can claim Test status from ICC for their country. He also criticised the officials of cricket board as well as LCCA president for preferring courting to merit and justice which is only the key to produce great players in the city. He said that PCB Chief Ijaz Butt, while selecting the Pakistan A team, favoured Karachi players to shut their mouths and ignored talented and skilled players like Ayub Dogar, M Khalil, Hamayun Farhat, M Irshad, Gulraiz Sadaf, etc. He suggested that Under-19 cricket team should be given chance instead of Pakistan A team to give them a good exposure to prove them at this level.
