Nankana Sahib The Sadder Police registered a case against land mafia who ousted a widow from her land after occupying it besides ruining her standing crop. Widow Muniran Bibi has been residing at her husbands agricultural land and cultivating it since long in Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi after constructing a structure. Reportedly, Manzoor Hussain, Munsib Ali, Ghafoor, Muhammad Ali, Ashaq and 15 other unidentified people, carrying arms, stormed her land and threatened to kill her if she will resisted the some days ago. According to her application, they took cotton seeds and cotton after destroying her ready Charri crop with tractor. The police registered the case after she along with other residents staged a protest outside the offices of DPO and DCO against illegal possession of land mafia. The DPO appointed SDPO as inquiry officer of the case. After the report of the SDPO, case registration ordered by DPO. Raid at gambling den: The Sangla Hill City Police raided an alleged gambling den and recovered Rs 21, 045. On the tip off, the police conducted the raid at a shop carrying title board Rana Pan Shop and arrested the accused Aamar Ali, Abdul Ghafoor, Nisar Ahmed, Muhammad Rizwan, Hassan, Rehman Waheed and Nazir Ahmed took into their custody an amount of Rs 21, 045 being used as pool money. Moreover the police also recovered 10 liters of liquor from accused Adeel, alias Kaka resident of Purana Sangla Hill.
