Sehba hands over keys to flood affectees

MUZAFFARGARH - The wife of former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf gifted keys of 50 houses to flood affected people in Shah Garh here in Muzaffargarh district on Monday. Begum Sehba Musharraf came to Muzaffargarh for the first time to see the flood affected people. Speaking on the occasion, she said when Musharraf was president Pakistan the country was prosperous and there was no loadshedding. The government of Pervez Musharraf killed many terrorists but now the Pakistan was under the threat of terror, he claimed, adding that former president Musharraf would return on March 23 and would lead the people. Begum Sehba pointed out that that the Musharraf foundation would build 1200 homes for flood affected people. She said that the foundation had distributed Rs20 million in shape of cash and relief goods. The Nation observed that there was no security measure and only former ISPR DG Major Gen (r) Rashid Qureshi and Dr Amjad accompanied the wife of former president. Hundred people welcomed them and appreciated the generous gesture. Local leaders of Musharraf Foundation Qaiser Khan and Saleem were also present on the occasion.
